Oh what a week it’s been. Britney lost custody of her kids because she didn’t listen to the judge, Lindsay Lohan is now a home wrecker. She claims to be in love with a lovely young man fresh out of rehab and cheating his way out of a relationship. Did I mention he had a fiancĂ©e? I’m actually getting sick of these stories, I think these girls have been the spotlight for quite some time, and their nonsense is getting old. Why don’t we move on to some brighter, inspirational stories?

Earlier this week Kevin Everett made great strides in his recovery from his near-fatal Week 1 accident. He is able to sit upright in a wheelchair and push himself with his feet. But not only his legs are improving; he was able to briefly stand using the help of a walker. Good for you Kevin, my thoughts and prayers continue to go out to you.

This might inspire some young Tiger Woods fans and fellow golfers out there. He struck a deal with Gatorade this week signing on for his own brand of Gatorade. The flavors he picked out are grape, cherry blend, and citrus blend. This new branch of sports drinks is helping Tiger set records beyond the golf course. The $100,000,000 paycheck sends his total career endorsement money to nearly 1 Billion dollars! One hundred million dollars! I don’t think even the Beckham family can top that. It’s been a whirlwind of a month for the superstar couple. The new and improved Spice Girls have sold out several concerts this month for their reunion tour, one concert in England sold out 20,000 seats in 38 seconds. Even better news, David’s ankle is feeling much better. He says that he will be in the bench at games, but still has some time before he is at game playing status.

So tonight my BoSox are fighting for post season life. They’re up 2 to 1 right now, so before things turn ugly I’m going to watch them with a lead.

That’s all I’ve got for now. Next time I promise some juicier gossip from the sports world!

Until next time,
